ANNEX BUILDING

PLEDGE CAMPAIGN

Let’s raise $250,000!

While our current building offers us much in the way of worship, office, and classroom space, it offers little margin for fellowship and gathering outside of worship.  In our vision to be a church that is rooted in the gospel, reflects the Kingdom, and reaches our city, we believe the Annex could be a vital resource through which to build people up in the knowledge of Christ, grow and disciple followers of Jesus who reflect the diversity and character of his Kingdom, and to reach our city in faithful and intentional stewardship of the property God has entrusted to us.

In short, the Annex building would become a flex space for our church, to be used for everything from Christian education classes, to youth group meetings, to fellowship meals and gatherings, to wedding receptions. The outdoor  portion of the property could even be redesigned to include a playground area for our many families with young kids. We know that Christ did not come to build a building, but to build a people for himself. Nevertheless, it is often the case that Christ can use a building to build up his people. Our hope and prayer is to see this property, including the Annex, be used for the glory of God and our growth in grace.

Please help us meet our goal of raising $250,000 by July 31, 2025.

Prayer at the Annex

We invite you to join us after worship on Sunday, July 20, for a special time of prayer and vision-casting in the space we hope will become a vibrant extension of our church’s ministry. We’ll walk through the building together and pray for the people and purposes God may lead us to serve there. Whether you’ve already made a pledge or are still discerning how to be involved, this is a great opportunity to see the space and join with others in prayerful hope for what’s ahead.

Light refreshments will be provided. We hope to see you there!

Also, mark your calendars for a Congregational Meeting to vote on the purchase of the Annex on Sunday, August 10, after the service.

OUR
MISSION

To know Jesus and make him known in Normaltown, Athens, and the world.

Our mission is the simplest possible statement of how we will accomplish our vision. In order to stay rooted, to reflect, and to reach, we will strive to know Jesus above all else. The cross will be central to who we are and how we live and love. Furthermore, the cross is what we will preach and promote as we go out into our spheres of influence: our homes, our neighborhoods, our schools, our places of work.
