This fall, we’re doing something a little different! Rather than hosting our traditional Fall Festival, we’re joining our neighbors for Historic Athens Porchfest, one of our community’s favorite annual celebrations. Join us at 890 Boulevard.

Why Porchfest?
At Good Shepherd, we want to be a church that knows and loves our neighbors. Sometimes that means inviting people into our church, but it also means getting outside our walls and going where our neighbors already are.
Porchfest gives us a wonderful opportunity to do just that.
For one afternoon, porches throughout our neighborhood become stages, music fills the streets, and thousands of people come together to enjoy our community. We get to step outside, meet our neighbors face to face, and join in the celebration side by side.
Our hope isn't simply to host an event on our property. It's to be present—to welcome, serve, connect, and enjoy our community together.

This year, Good Shepherd has the special opportunity to host the official Porchfest Kids Zone in and around the Annex!
We're preparing to welcome close to 1,000 kids throughout the afternoon for kid-friendly music, activities, snacks, and lots of fun.
Since we won't be hosting our traditional Fall Festival this year, this is our big opportunity to love and serve children and families in our community this fall. And we're going to need our whole church family to help make it happen!
Let's show up in a big, fun, welcoming way—ready to serve, meet new people, and help create a place where kids and families feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.
There will be opportunities to help with activities, snacks, setup, cleanup, welcoming families, and more. Whether you can serve for an hour or spend the afternoon with us, there's a place for you.
